This is our extreme solar fresnel lens in action. I have a GIANT Lens that is even stronger but this spot fresnel lens works perfect for heating metal using the sun.
    Lens available www.greenpowerscience.com/SHOP...
The saw blade is solid steel. Total time through the blade was 3 minutes. All other melts were realtime.

This could provide free energy or very cheap energy for millions if it was hooked up to a tank to boil water into steam to turn a turbine.

@Alt Fit yeah adding additional steps would add further inefficiency. Solar panels are actually the most effective for solar energy.

@Super Noodles no, solar panels create electricity directly from sunlight but they are very inefficient.

If a giant magnifying glass could be used to boil water in to steam to make a turbine spin thus creating electricity would that not be considered free energy.... we are killing the planet when this shit is so easy and simple.

Dan, I have been wanting to build an air conditioner that works off the heat produced by a fresnel lens they have some units which are produced by Fire and Ice that use Natural Gas. Albert Einstein used ammonia refrigerators and gas heat and the 1920's Icey ball which produced Ice after being placed in a fire. Problem is I have neither the technical knowledge nor financial means to make it happen. I was wondering if you have had any interest in solar heat producing A/C cooling.

These would be great for backpacking. If there is a rollable version, does the effectiveness decrease due to ripples in the surface? Would a Fresnel lens gather light on a cloudy day. I'm thinking of the benefit in use with solar panels. Imagine rotating a Fresnel array instead of a solar panel array to track the sun.

An engineer or physics teacher can help me? Is there a formula of solar concentration? if direct sunlight of 2,5,10, 50 mirrors to the same point, how many ° C increase in point? How do I find the temperature that increases the focal point?

Πριν 3 χρόνια
GREENPOWERSCIENCE
GREENPOWERSCIENCE

A continuous curved parabolic mirror is best but if you are using squares, the ratio is difficult because smaller mirror arrays have a flip and scatter depending on foal lengths. This video explains the flip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0aClpzytt8 When using small mirrors, 100 mirrors does not =100 suns. The drop for mosaic arrays is roughly 60%. So 100 mirrors = 60 suns if first surface. Second surface mirrors drop this to 45%.
