With the accelerated advancement of technology, by now (since 1969) there should be numerous colonies running scientific stations present of the moon with mega fast 'moon-earth' transportation system... but apparently, NASA has literally 'lost' the technology to get back to the moon... (also what about humans passing through the Van Allen Belt!!) Has Humanity been lied too! people want answers, proof evidence etc., NASA knows exactly how to solve this frustrating situation.. p.s. all the moon landing footage simply does not look real!!

This camera quality really is impressive for 1969! Even on Earth, this would be good. It's better than professional sports channels' resolutions were. Trying to watch a tennis match from 1969 is much more difficult than this. And the fact that they did it *live from the MOON* before the Internet or digital age or anything like that. I just did some reading and it's amazing, they used a special sort of camera that went 10 frames per second at a certain slow frequency, and practically invented a new type of antenna to put on the lander which had a way faster frequency. That antenna communicated with two tracking stations on Earth on a (which I'm not even sure they were facing the Moon!), then messed around with the frequency of the antenna and reduced it so that television service had 'room' to 'enter' the communication link, but at the same time had to convert the footage to standard 30 frames per second higher-frequency television-style video in real time (as they were getting it from the Moon), THEN the tracking stations transmitted the signals by microwaves to satellites and AT&T landlines to Mission Control in Houston, *and THEN* it was broadcast to the world's televisions! And all this with almost no degrading to the image! And none of it would have been possible if Neil Armstrong didn't hit a circuit breaker and flip a switch inside the lander before taking his small step. The footage we see here is from one of the two tracking stations--specifically the one in Australia--which is why the quality is as good as it is. But it's not the camera itself that was good like I said, they had to modify and edit LIVE footage as they received it from the Moon, with no delay in getting it to the public!! Really incredible! But judging by the fact that it's 30 frames per second and not 10, it's post-conversion-for-television footage. Crazy that so many of us take live streaming for granted now! I imagine it would be infinitely easier to broadcast a moon landing nowadays, and probably cheaper to actually DO a moon landing because the tech would mostly be normal rather than 'super advanced' like it was at the time. You can see Neil and Houston go through the process of transmitting footage (after it's already gone through the tracking station) starting at around 17:40, he does a radio check and then Buzz flips the circuit breaker. Then the receiver describes the footage he's seeing: "there's a great deal of contrast in it, it's a good picture, currently our monitor is upside down but we can make out a fair amount of detail'. Amazing stuff! It would have been funny if Neil went like 'how many fingers am I holding up?...That's right!' to the camera as we was checking in with Houston.

Πριν μήνα
The AViator
The AViator

My question is, how did they get that shot at 18:46? It looks like the camera would already have to have been on the surface. Or was it attached to another leg that extends that far, or on a long mount? Or did they toss a tripod off of the lander?

Moon's gravity is one sixth of earth's. So, where are those huge leaps? They don't look like leaps that are six times bigger. I've also wondered how they ever got to the moon, even though it's an acknowledged fact that the van Allen belt is lethally radio-active? Another thing is getting back from the moon. From where do they get the fuel for that? You still need at least the sixth of the amount of fuel you needed to get _there,_ right? When you go to the moon, I guess you fly up? But how do you get back – do you just fly down? The planets are moving/spinning – how does that affect getting in and out of them? More on the fuel... How close do you have to get to earth/moon, so that you start falling towards it? How come the spaceship doesn't burn on the earth's atmosphere, even though it completely burns rocks? Why sometimes rocks from space do get pass the atmosphere? Going to moon seems to be a piece of cake, yet somehow landing seems very risque and out-of-control? Don't they usually fall into the sea? We have never been shown the act of a succesful coming-back from the moon: they only show us that orange thing floating in the ocean, but not the landing itself. But when they _go_ to the moon, they can land at a precisely predetermined area. And most importantly: why isn't NASA going to moon now and prove it to be possible? Why don't they show us pictures taken with a powerful telescope that would show us all the debris the Americans allegedly left on the surface of the moon?

Brian Becker — They used the same film and camera as on "2001: A Space Odyssey" (1968). The temperature on Moon is way too cold for that kind of equipment to used. So, they obviously weren't on Moon.   I've also wondered how they ever got to the moon, even though it's an acknowledged fact that the van Allen belt is lethally radio-active?   Going to moon seems to be a piece of cake, yet somehow landing seems very risque and out-of-control? Amazing to think back in the day long before computer graphics those things were not only possible but so easy to achieve. I miss the good old days when average joe's like me could sit alone in my room with a paper plane and a calculator and send it off to mars and back. Off to mars and beyond. You could wrap tin foil around your head to protect you from the radiation, we often did that, in fact we all did that, it was just something we did back in the day. It's amazing to think in today's world you still haven't figured out how we did it, it's crazy. It's so easy, all you need is a paper plane, tin foil, a lolly pop stick, and a calculator.
