The parts that scare me is when he's with Georgie the picture of Georgie that bill looks at when pennywise is digging the grave for the kids when bill visits Georgie's grave when he's an adult And the melting lady that adult Beverly meets Those scenes scare me still every time I watch it

Tim Curry went on to play Palpatine in the last season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, after the previous voice actor passed away. He always plays fun-to-watch villains, so he was a great fit.

I tried to read RL stien, but after the first two pages... It was s**t. did you just insult goosbumps and nightmare room? there is a special part of hell for people like you. (JK. I don't care what your opinion is. I still love those books)

It helps that Part 1 has great child actors who are clearly trying _really_ hard to deliver a good performance. It's kind of like Stand By Me in that respect. The kid actors are just the best. Once it transitions to the adult actors, it starts to lose me too. I feel like that's the main reason why they decided to split the re-adaptation into two parts, with the currently released one being the kids, and the one that hasn't come out yet being the one with the adults. They were hedging their bets and going, "Let's try this with just the kids, and let's make sure we get some good kids for it!, then we'll see if this goes anywhere." Also, Tim Curry can do no wrong. Adding him to anything can only improve the final product. If the piece you're adding him to is already garbage, sure, it's still going to be garbage (I'm looking at you guys: Garfield 2, Home Alone 2, and Ferngully), but there will still be those delicious Curry moments that at the very least lessen the pain while his amazing voice is literally dancing in your ears. Point being, the dude is just an amazing voice to listen to; plus, even in a complete train wreck of a project, he's obviously the one having the most fun. For the most obvious example of this, look at the adult portion of the original "It". Everyone is super serious about everything, except for Curry, who is just having a blast being a killer clown.

When it comes to Stephen kings books there great but when it comes to the adaptations of them they don't do the books justice. But the one I could say is close to being faithful to the novel would be pet sematary, but even so they cut out two characters out for the film one of them not that important, but the other played a big part in the novel that was Norma Crandall jud's wife.

Tolstoy said that you should write only when you're can't not to write. And King himself said that writing helps him overcome some psychological problems.

It’s not my favourite of King’s books, but I enjoyed it. There are maybe far too many ideas in the book however. I would also say Misery is better than the book, The Mist is definitely on par with the novella, in fact The Mist film has a superior ending to the novella.

The Tim Curry clown is scary to me because he looks like one of those ones that you would approach at a circus and that's what he has on his side, like you can approach this, it is safe he's a circus clown and when you get close enough he'll snatch you up. The new Pennywise, The Bill Skarsgard Pennywise is just one of those clowns were you looking at and you're automatically afraid. You know not even go near it. The Tim Curry one had that false sense of security with it that I think made it a bit more scary in a different way, a more realistic way I guess you could say.

Stephen King is an okay writer, not great, but okay. H.P. Lovecraft was a great writer. I do say I prefer R.L. Stine over Stephen King. I grew up reading them, especially Fear Street. Those caught my attention. I love horror, I write horror, and some of my stories are screwed up, but I try imagery, not random imagery, and though they are short stories, I try creating the image in my head, and not be drugged up while writing, he should be a drug sponsor, and work off from there. Stephen King's books are a bit boring and the movies really don't make up for it.

The Stan suicide shower scene would have been scarier if you could only hear the sound of water going down the drain. And she waves the steam out of the way only to find is lifeless corpse and she screams in terror and runs out of the room. The camera should then pan away from the door we ran out of, and pans down to show Stan's blood shot eyes which have rolled back into his head. (instead of screaming like she has to clean dog poop off of the new rug)

Just to clarify John Wayne Gacy wasn't actually a pedophile, all of his victims were older teenagers and young men (most of them were between the ages of 16 and 24) not young children. People just assume that he was a pedophile because he had a sideline as a birthday party clown, he was actually executed four years after this movie came out. His last words as the chemicals started flowing in to his veins were addressed to the warden who had just issued the order to kill him, he said: "kiss my ass".

To be fair, Doug, Goosebumps' target audience was to much younger readers in contrast to Stephen King.

Also: R.L Stein isn't half the writer that Stephen King is despite his extraordinary proliferation of novels. Personally I'd love to see stephen king write a young adult/youth targeted horror story, even with his tropesand the limitations of the genre he could still write something fantastic.

See the mini series came out three year prior to my birth, but I remember the Video Cassette cover at Blockbuster kind of creeped me out, but I wasn't really afraid of the movie. Especially after my mom told me that "Nigel Thornberry is the clown" and when I was I kid, I was really into the Wild Thornberrys so whenever my friends at school used to talk about Pennywise being scary I couldn't relate. lol.
