2:15 i think that was a thing maybe around 15-20 years ago though. maybe it was just a rumor back then too, BUT you had to use more specific parts together, you couldnt just pair a b450 mainboard with a 2600x and call it a day.

After I'd had it about 7-8 years I used to leave my old XP on every night because it woulds snag on the Bios screen on power up about 50% of the time...it would say "hard drive not found." The flop sweat would start flowing down my forehead and I would think... 'is this the end of it'. I would have to open it up and use hard pressure from my thumb against the small clock battery while power on...usually it worked but sometime it would be stubborn and just refuse to load Windows.(must have been a bad circuit as I tried new batteries to no avail.) I put up with that for 2 years or so...then the Hydro bills from leaving it on convinced me get a whole new computer...plus XP had had it's day anyway by that time. It just pissed me off that almost none of my games/programs worked on Windows 7 and none at all later on 10. I'm an old timer I started with Intellivision, graduated to Commodore 64))) they had similar messy ending too.)

The reason why the computer MOST LIKELY will fail, when you START it, is because that's the moment, when your PSU (intern or extern with a Laptop) will have to immediately react to the 110 or 230V and push it down to the 5/12/19V output. When your PSU is getting old, it can happen, that this lowering down the voltage is happening a moment to slow... and then it burns your PSU and often also your motherboard or your components. In my past my laptops, after running YEARS without much powering down, all died on start up because of that. (Gladly Asus has this nice little daughter board in their laptops, that kills itself instead of killing the motherboard. So really the best practise is: - close games or other programs that draw much power - then go to hibernate, sleep or at least turn the screens of. In idle mode your computer will draw less power than an average light bulb has in the 2000s. Also, it will not run hot, because in idle mode it's core temperature is only 10-15 degrees C over room temperature (or less, depending on your cooling). - restart your computer from time to time - not only because of the updates, but also to flush your memory

I cannot believe there are people who think PC running cooler makes the room cooler. Basic laws of science should tell you otherwise. All PC cooling does is move energy from point A to B. It still exists! That goes to say that efficient PC cooling will actually make your room hotter because A. Processor can work harder and generate more heat B. it can be overclocked and generate ever MORE heat C. All this heat is now moved into the room and not left in the CPU. Technically the only way to get a cooler CPU and room is to either A. reduce power consumption by downclocking or B. Vent the heat somewhere other than the room (that solution is unreasonable however).

It could make it cooler, assuming your cpu and gpu are running at high temps, making them less efficient... thus needing more power, making them heat more and so on...

I just recently had a AMD PC. build made for myself Motherboard: Asus Rog Crosshair viii hero wifi Cpu: AMD 9 3900x Gpu: Sapphire nitro+ radeon rx 5700 xt Cpu Cooler: Noctua nh-d15 chromax.black, 140mm Ram: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (4x8GB) DDR4 DRam 3200Mhz C16 SSD Memory: Crucial P1 1Tb 3D Nand NVME PCLe M.2 SSD Memory 2: Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500GB M.2 with V-Nand tech NVME Interface Pcu: Fractal Design 860w Ion+ Platinum is a high-performance fully modular PSU  Case: fractal Design Meshify C mid with Tented glass. Using the 2 fans that came with the it as well.. Windows: 10 Pro a long time waiting and excited for. Well I had it built, it freezes up a good bit when I close out of a browser, or discord. Or freezes in games. I'm so fustrated to why this is happening. I know everything is updated. But why have a great pc is its just gonna freeze up. I've watch alot of your videos as well as other very good reputable tech YouTuber's before building it. My parts i picked were much videos, reviews, comments, sites, and watching for changes. Months of this. I didn't want to make a mistake that I waited so long to build. But I feel let down and so disappointed. Please can you help me. I have once in my life able to buy something for myself and I feel I had done something wrong, somewhere, somehow. Just in case this might be a question, no I have not over clocked this, I was told by many not to overclock AMD cpu. But please help 🙏

Not the techiest person around so take what i say considering that. Id first do a whole reset reinstalling windows and the drivers. If not that id go through carefully and rebuild the pc making sure everything is exactly where it needs to be i wouldnt think the cpu needs to be reseated. I had a similar problem but only when i tried to run any program. My power supply wasnt putting out power properly and i had to get it replaced, worked fine after. Good luck it can be annoying youll figure it out.

Hi the disk destruction part is false actually. There are secure erase features present in SSDs which wipe them completely. The HDD is enough just to write over the whole surface. You have to know what you're doing though and that is why companies/governments just opt to destroy them because it is easier. So... spreading other myths while debunking myths are we? :D

I have just ordered the parts to upgrade my pc ... it is a 10 year old system! That said, I pushed the boat out and got an good intel i5 and was running SLI GFX. I upgraded the GFX card a couple of years ago, and added more storage, but now I'm only upgrading the full system for the sake of it, not because it need it! My current PC is still going strong (for everything I need and use it for) However, I have stumbled on your channel (and some others) and decided "It's time buddy" and so i've ordered some new stuff. Quite excited for the arrival. What to do with the old stuff though? Is it even worth trying to sell the parts on?
