Edison seemed to be a strong suspect given his vast wealth and connections both in the US and Europe in the 1880s but you guys failed to mention that in 2004 a French police archive photograph was found of a man who had drowned in the Seine river and that picture bore a very very strong resemblance to Louis Le Prince. I have seen the archive photo and it certainly looks like Louis - the body was found just 2 or 3 days after Prince's disappearance and in the area where the train from Dijon was travelling to Paris. The only photo take of the "john doe" was one clear photo of the face and only upto the neck. The man was also pretty well dressed. No other photo was taken which could determine the height of the drowned man, etc. and the man was buried in a pauper grave shortly thereafter. I think the guy just felt that the debts were too heavy and the stress of struggles to get the invention perfected go to him and he jumped off the train. into the river when no one was looking. I find it rather far-fetched that Edison's guys pushed him overboard (if that was Louis body recovered from the river).

I don't know why Ryan always pronounces the "t" in certain words with a "d" instead. "Britain" is "Bridden", and in this one I am losing it with the section discussing patents pronounced as "paddenz". Please work on your diction. It's 100% acceptable to stop the flow of sound to make the voiceless dental, "t".

Thomas Edison isn’t an inventor anyways. He might’ve created one or two things but he was more of a improver, who would take things that were already in the makes to being invented or already invented and he would make them better somehow. Doesn’t get enough credit if you ask me but I do feel sad that he overshadows the people who actually made the blueprints to most of these things, they deserve equal credit if not more. Either way, they are all still geniuses with great minds and great visions and you can’t take that away from them.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Edison had people all over the place working in his interests and feeding him information on any other up-and-coming groundbreaking inventions that he could capitalise on, maybe even in the patent office. Oh? This frenchman put in a patent for this kind of thing? Hmmmm, better grab that before it goes anywhere. Alternatively Louis could have been killed by someone who simply had no idea what was in the briefcase and was killed in a mugging or something, then they tossed it all when they didn't understand the papers. I do find the son's death a bit suspicious, though.

I think something like this also happened to Dr. Polydory the author of THE VAMPYRE who lived along the same time with Mary Shelly, Percy Shelly, and Lord Byron. I got the idea by watching Mary Shelly 2017 movie. And I saw some sources said that Lord Byron stole the authorship from Polydory of the book The Vampyre and he was bankrupt, unable to claim his authorship which apparently the reason for him to commit suicide at the age of 25. Seems like these type of things happened a lot back in days. Sometimes I wonder inventors of pioneer versions machines we use today truly belonged to the actual owner. Since there were a lot of innovations but I don't think they had any proper system about intelligence properties like today. Anyway, it's the first stage of industrialization and maybe it took some time to introduce new paperwork. That's why people like Edison must have been so easy to steal other's innovations.

*Why the hell on this earth no one makes a movie about him to dedicate to his service as being the first person on this goddamned earth to make this motion picture a reality?* He's totally vanished not from his family but also from this whole world without a trace. Nowadays directors won't even exist thanks to this person. I don't say make this as a way to fill your pockets but as an honor. *It's ironic that the world's first-person to make motion picture had an untold story for a lifetime being a forever secret from the world history* *People in the present have an incredible backstory about him that some plot holes left behind him*

Great videos, and I really like your conversations. A little constructive critique: you don´t say "quote" and "unquote" when you are quoting someone; you don´t "read" out loud the quotation mark, quotation marks are only meant for writing but when you speak you just say what the person said and it is understood that you are quoting him or her.

What I find funny about the revisionist history of Edison is that he didn’t even invent most of the things he’s famous for inventing. He employed those who actually had the knowledge and abilities that he lacked, and he got credit for their work. They don’t teach kids this in history class.
