The guitar shown in the video of Clapton playing is clearly NOT the same guitar! The neck has a large CBS style head stock with a bullet truss rod. I can't speak to the body of the guitar but the neck isn't the same one as that on the guitar that is being auctioned off. Just sayin'.

Funny. I found a genuine Made in Indonesia Strat in a dumpster. Really bad shape. Took it to a musician friend of mine, he put new strings on it and use a hot glue gun to fix a few issues. It's now among his favorites, says it just has a certain sound to it.

I’m just glad the guitar got to be played one more time chances are it’ll probably end up in somebody’s collection and never played again. Also love the fact that it’s a hard tail.

Just to let you know. This is not Eric's "Brownie". There are videos that show you the back of Eric's has a spring guard which this guitar does not have. Also, there is also a screw in the pick guard at the top of the neck pickup that I assumed was added by Eric that is not on this guitar....NICE TRY

Was the headstock replaced? In the video of Eric Clapton playing his Strat his guitar had the fat 1970’s headstock. This guitar’s headstock is much thinner.

How come the video at 7:59 of Clapton playing this guitar show it with the larger 70s style headstock, yet when you're playing it in the studio it's got the proper 50s neck?

It's a Strat. They're all the same. And none of them are worth that amount of money. Clapton or not. I'm not convinced that's one of ECs guitars anyway.

That's if I had 30k I just absolutely couldn't use for anything else. Otherwise take Clapton away and it's an 8k.

I CAN GUARANTEE that if you put a Chines copy of that guitar into the hands of Taylor or any other accomplished guitarist, that Chinese copy will sound EXACTLY the same, so don't fall for the HPYE of some GODDAMN auction house looking to screw you out of your money.
